Leadership & Delivery

I have spent the last several years leading cross-functional engineering teams inside a tier-one financial institution. My focus is on the intersection of technical architecture and organisational outcomes: building teams that own their delivery, processes that reduce friction, and systems that can absorb change without breaking.

At Raiffeisen, I led the end-to-end transformation of corporate lending operations — replacing legacy batch workflows with an event-driven architecture that cut processing delays by 25% and unlocked same-day decision-making for loan approvals. I drove this from discovery to production, managing stakeholders at the executive level, coordinating engineering and compliance teams, and maintaining delivery cadence across Scrum and Kanban cycles.

My leadership philosophy is simple: clarity over cleverness, outcomes over activity, and teams over individuals. I write code, read architecture, and stay close to the work — not to micromanage, but because I believe the best technical leaders never lose touch with what shipping actually costs.

Solo Founder

Alongside my work in banking, I build software independently. I identify real engineering pain points, design solutions from scratch, and take them from idea to public release — alone. This means I handle product thinking, architecture, implementation, DevOps, and writing, all in parallel.

My flagship project is DebtDrone — an AST-based technical debt analyser written in Go that parses over 11 languages using Tree-sitter and calculates Cognitive Complexity at compile speed. I built it because existing tools relied on Regex and produced too much noise. It ships as a single zero-dependency binary that drops into any CI pipeline. I am now building DebtDrone SaaS: a cloud platform that tracks debt lifecycle over time, integrates with GitHub, and uses AI to suggest production-ready refactors.

Building independently has made me a sharper leader. Owning every decision — and every mistake — with no team to absorb the cost has an accelerating effect on judgement. The things I have shipped alone have directly shaped how I lead teams at work.

Technical Foundation

I build in Go and Rust for performance-critical systems, and use .NET, Python, and TypeScript across the rest of the stack. My architectural default is event-driven microservices — I have production experience with RabbitMQ, and I have designed and operated systems that need to be both highly available and auditable, which is a non-trivial combination in regulated finance.

On the platform side, I work across Azure, AWS, and GCP with Terraform for IaC, Azure DevOps for CI/CD, and Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration. I care about observability — Prometheus and Grafana are standard in anything I run. I also have a long-standing interest in decentralisation, having built dApps on the Komodo blockchain and explored zero-trust security models and distributed ledger technologies.

I do not list tools as a badge of honour. What I care about is whether the architecture holds under pressure and whether it can be changed safely six months from now.
